Study on the rice grain quality in farmer fields and its pre-harvest predictability
概要
1.1 Origin of research questions
Rice is one of the three major food crops in the world and it is a primary food
source for more than three billion people worldwide. With the continuous growth of the
world and the improvement of living standards, people have higher requirements for
the yield and quality of rice. Due to the continuous growth of the world population and
the serious damage to the natural environment, the negative factors of hardening of
cultivated land soil and increasing diseases and pests have resulted in the reduction of
rice yield and quality. Therefore, in the process of rice field management, monitoring
the growth status of rice and applying nitrogen fertilizer rationally can not only ensure
the yield and quality of rice, but also improve the utilization rate of nitrogen fertilizer,
reduce the cost of input and improve the ecological environment.
However, reasonable field management needs to be based on the actual growth of
rice. Accurate prediction of rice yield and quality is one of the main problems urgently
needed to be solved in precision agriculture and digital agriculture, and also a research
hotspot in modern agriculture.
To ensure optimum crop yields and quality, many scholars have begun to study the
relationship between crop growth and growth environment and to propose crop models
to simulate crop growth status. At present, crop models have advanced from the initial
qualitative simulation of crop growth to quantitative simulation of crop growth and
from simulation of single physiological and ecological growth processes to simulation
of the whole growth process. This makes the detection model of crop growth more
accurate and predicts crop yield and quality more accurate, which can be applied to the
detection of field planting. ...
