医用3次元画像と脳表写真とを融合表示させる複合現実技術の開発

本研究は、画像誘導手術支援システムとして、現実空間の情報である脳表写真と空間的に
高分解能を有する医用 3 次元画像とを融合表示させる複合現実技術の開発を行ったもので
あり、下記の結果を得ている。
1. ポリゴン化した脳表写真をランドマークと薄板スプライン変換で変形して医用 3 次元
画像と融合表示する方法を開発した。対応する脳表構造解剖にランドマークを設置し
た。設置したランドマークを制御点として薄板スプライン変換で脳表写真を変形する
ことで、医用融合 3 次元画像との融合表示を可能とした。成果物を Mixed-reality
computer graphics 1 (MRCG1)と呼称する。MRCG1 の位置合わせ精度は 0.52±0.04
mm(平均±標準誤差)であった。
2. 脳表写真の画像データであるテクスチャを医用 3 次元画像に対して正規化相互情報量
法とプロジェクションマッピングで投影して融合表示する方法を開発した。医用 3 次
元画像のテクスチャを取得した。取得した医用 3 次元画像テクスチャに対して脳表写
真テクスチャを、正規化相互情報量法を用いて位置合わせし置き換えることで、脳表
写真を適切な位置と方向・角度から投影することが可能となった。成果物を Mixedreality computer graphics 2 (MRCG2)と呼称する。MRCG2 の位置合わせ精度は 1.04
±0.14 mm(平均±標準誤差)であった。
以上、本論文は現実空間の位置情報を得るための大規模な装置を必要とすることなく、
現実空間の情報である脳表写真と医用 3 次画像とを空間的に高精度に位置合わせすること
を可能とした。画像誘導手術支援システムとして活用できる可能性が示唆された。
よって本論文は博士( 医 学 )の学位請求論文として合格と認められる。
