Hyper-coordinate structures have been attracting significant interest
for some time, and their geometric and electronic structures have
provided a profound understanding of their chemical properties,
chemical bonds, reactivities, and reaction mechanisms.[1-2] Saturated
compounds containing heavier Group 14 elements (ER4, E = Si, Ge,
