概要

Chronic pancreatitis (CP) is an irreversible and progressive inflammatory disease in which chronic changes,
such as irregular fibrosis and parenchymal destruction,
develop within the pancreas. Disease progression causes
persistent abdominal pain, digestive and absorptive disorders resulting from exocrine dysfunction, and diabetes
mellitus due to endocrine dysfunction. As a result, the
patients’ quality of life is greatly impaired2,23,28). ...
