医療のニーズに応えるユーザーフレンドリーな創傷管理製品の開発に関する研究

概要

慢性創傷は難治性であることが多く、原疾患治療の障害や患者の生活の質(Quality of Life; QOL)の低下および医療費の増大につながる。慢性創傷の治療方法には外科的処置、陰圧閉鎖療法に加え、外用剤および創傷被覆材などの創傷管理製品(Wound Management Product; WMP)を用いた治療が行われている。WMPはMoist Wound Healing(MWH)の概念において重要な役割を担っており、創傷面の適切な湿潤環境保持を目的とした創傷被覆材が多く発売され、創傷面の湿潤環境に影響を与える基剤に着目した外用剤の使用法が実践されている。これらのWMPにはそれぞれ利点と問題点があり、医療現場では知識と経験に基づいて選択、使用されている。

本研究では、現在使用されているWMPのユーザビリティやニーズを検索し、その結果を基にユーザーフレンドリーなWMPの開発を試みた。
