ゼルニケ解析により,収差を上記のような各成分に分け,定量化が可能である.面傾
斜は 1 次収差成分,近視,遠視,乱視は 2 次収差成分であり,それぞれプリズムレン
ズ,凹レンズ,凸レンズ,円柱レンズの眼鏡で矯正が可能な低次収差である.
一方,3 次以上の収差は通常の眼鏡では矯正ができない高次収差成分であり,視機能
低下の原因となる.偶数(2.4.6)次収差は点対称な収差成分である一方,奇数(1,3,5)
次収差は非点対称な成分である.

倒乱視
角膜形状は正球形ではなくラグビーボールのようにたわんでいる.曲率半径が小さく,
屈折力が大きい方向を強主経線(赤実線)と呼び,若年者の角膜前面形状は左下図の
ように強主経線が垂直方向にある直乱視眼が多い.加齢に伴い,角膜前面形状は右下
図のように強主経線が水平方向にある倒乱視眼の割合が増加する.

D(右)であった.したがって,それらの差である 3.3 D と 1.8 D 分が瞳孔領内の角
膜多焦点性となり,瞳孔領内の角膜屈折値に変動があることが分かった.
